Spectrum Message Services was formed in 2004 to combine extensive payments systems experience with extensive telecommunications experience.

The core development team originates in Hungary and has worked on the product range since 1993. Its products are widely used in Eastern Europe and beyond. The Sales and Marketing function of the company is driven from Australia and via a number of partners around the world.

The MoneyGUARD product capitalises on the widespread distribution of mobile phones by using these as an additional channel to notify customers when a card transaction is occurring, in real time.

Apart from the fraud reduction aspect, customer facing value added services like balance enquiries, real time credit limit adjustments and exchange rate queries are all supported.

The vision of the company and its partners is to ‘profitably reduce fraud while enhancing the customer experience’ for the banking community in their respective markets.
